Loooong Week

Happy Friday!

My last entry was cut short. I was on Medi-Van which is just me transferring wheelchair patients around town. It's not much fun, pretty boring but I was able to come home between calls which was nice. That was my first Medi-Van shift and it started off horribly. I attempted to go under an overhang thingy whose clearance was apparently not tall enough for the van. So I hit it, with a patient in back, and broke a board they had running across. Luckily, that was the only damage, didn't hurt the van. The Convalescent home told me not to worry about it, that it's happened before and they're just glad I didn't take out the sprinkler system. When I told my supervisor he just sighed and told me to fill out the paper work so I think I'm ok.

Yesterday I went into work at 8 and got partnered with a girl I had been warned about but also told that I didn't have to worry because "she WON't work with women." Wonderful, she doesn't want to work with me and I'm not looking forward to her. She wasn't nearly as bad as I thought she'd be, though she did blame me for driving right past a scene because she wasn't listening to the directions I was giving her while my nose was in the map. Whatever. So I was supposed to be going home at 5pm. I get asked to go on an LD, so then I figure I'll be home by 12. We get back into town and my partner and I are asked to stay until 6am. Well, I figure I don't have anything else to do. I crash, we get a call at 2:30. Now I know I don't have to worry about not waking up for a call. DAMN! I almost had a heart attack. My partner, Jason, that I worked with is pretty cute, so looking at him calmed me down. ;) Once we got back to the station I slept until 6 but the girl that was supposed to cover me was on an LD. I finally got home at 8. So my 9 hour shift ended up being a 24. Over tiiiiime. Oh yeah!

This weekend CW and I are finally going to celebrate our anniversary. The Whose Line guys are performing in Fresno which I just found out about yesterday. Tickets are about $50 which is somewhat high for us but I wanna try to convince CW. If that doesn't work, our original plan was to see Alonzo Bodden from Last Comic Standing here in Visalia. Those tickets are about $25. I figure with all the hours I've been getting though, that we could go for the Whose Line cast. I know Lisa would go with me. :) We'll see.

I think I'm going to try to go to sleep now. Have a SUPER weekend everyone! Miss keeping up on your journals. Stupid making money! ;)
