tracking post - week three
DAY FIFTEEN - (Day 38/Tuesday)
Missing breakfast, Sai spends a short period of time in the library speaking with Evangeline. Afterwards, it's time for a chat with Farfarello about a missing kunai. Sasuke joins with nurse assistance. Next shift has Sai catching up with Kakashi, and dinner is a short affair as he warns Honey to be careful heading to the kitchen.
With a busy evening ahead, Sai takes the usual route to Usopp's, picking up the items necessary for a trade with Farf. After this, it's off to meet the team. Together, they start the trip to the basement, but night ends before they get past one of the side chambers.
DAY SIXTEEN - (Day 39/Wednesday)
Breakfast brings a surprise in the form of Kankurou of the Sand Village, newly arrived. This is a good lead-in to a chat with Naruto and Sasuke the next shift. After calling down Sakura's wrath on the bulletin board, a mildly bruised Sai catches sight of Aidou over lunch and decides to speak with him, not the best of choices given the effect it then has. Very confused, the ninja looks to Okita Souji for help, then, once calmed somewhat, his roommate.
Sai is distracted enough come nightfall that he forgets to change into anything but his shoes. He doesn't forget his weapons, though, and is soon at Usopp's door. Once the pirate is ready, the two of them meet up with Luffy with plans to head upstairs and check out the pharmacy.
DAY SEVETEEN - (Day 40/Thursday)
Sai meets up with Sakura this morning to discuss their lack of progress. The next shift is uneventful, and lunch includes a brief conversation with Luke fon Fabre. In the Greenhouse, he discusses plans for the night with Shikamaru. Dinner is full of cuteness.
Honey's group has already arrived as Sai is leaving his room for the evening. Having been told to meet in M18, he makes his way there in due haste. There, Kakashi tells the other Leaf-nin of future events, though not all want to hear it.
DAY EIGHTEEN - (Day 41/Friday)
Another disgruntled ninja joins Sai for breakfast this morning, and he gives the usual newbie shpeal. Shower time is shared with Artemis and Sora. Before Lunch, Sai learns from the bulletin that Usopp has been "discharged." This leaves him in a troubled state over lunch with Naruto. Dinner is tasteless.
A bit slow to leave that night, Sai made his way to M37 to meet with the others. He, Kakashi, and Shikamaru then headed for the sun room, meeting with Sokka on the way. In the cafeteria, their way is blocked by a ticking man. The remainder of the night is spent fighting him.
DAY NINETEEN - (Day 42/Saturday)
Today is the Doyleton field trip, and Sai spends the bus ride over warning Takasugi. He and Shikamaru then plot to steal sedative from one of the nurses and are successful, but Shikamaru gets sedated in the process. The two stick together and head to the grocer's to leave a couple notes on the bulletin. As Shikamaru is still recovering from the earlier incident, they take a while to just sit and are joined by Kakashi, who advises they find a restaurant to spend the evening at in case night falls while they're still in town.
Their suspicions end up being valid, but unfortunately the Tasty Burger kitchen yields no knives. They head out to find a place to better equip themselves, passing Sasuke and Sakura on their way to the hardware store.
DAY TWENTY - (Day 43/Sunday)
In the morning, they're back in Landel's. Sai tries to talk to both Sasuke and Shikamaru about the events of the night before and the upcoming visitors without much success. Afterwards, he catches up with Takasugi again. Another visit from the brother that isn't leaves him in a sorry state come dinner.
When night falls, Sai remains in the room. Shikamaru shows up and finds him unfit to be doing any sort of mission that night. After a bit of an altercation, Shikamaru becomes a victim of this night's magic - forced to relive Asuma's death.
DAY TWENTY-ONE - (Day 44/Monday)
Fortunately, Shikamaru is alive the next morning and Sai approaches him at breakfast, telling him he should talk to Kakashi about the incident. Afterward, he speaks briefly with Terry McGinnis ("Alex") in arts and crafts. At lunch he sought out Okita for a therapy session of sorts. (Better than the Landel's doctors.) Shower time, by tradition, was spent with Artemis and dinner was more pleasant than it had been the night before.
Sai got off to an early start this nightshift, heading to pick up a first aid kit before meeting with other members of his team. It becomes apparent that Shikamaru has been taken for M-U, so Sakura, Kakashi, and Momo head upstairs while Sai checks briefly for Jun, who Sakura was supposed to help but whose room had been switched, and then waits for Naruto who never arrives.
