OKAY. TIME FOR ANNABELLE TO BREAK DOWN HER HAPPY WEEKEND AT ALA.
IT'S PROBABLY BADLY WRITTEN BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE.
Friday: I went as Jade, Alice went as John and we got there pretty early! When we first got there I was pretty surprised since it was IN a hotel and no one actually told me and my basic instinct of anime convention is it's close by, no details, let's go!!! Anyways, it was a pretty pleasant thing to find out. We wandered around the exhibit hall for only a little bit after we got our badges. I have to say the exhibition hall is TINY. Alice did mention it was more cosplay based than anything else so I guess that makes perfect sense. I didn't mind since it meant less money for me to throw away. HIBA, that retard, wouldn't answer her phone so we waited for her to answer back for a WHILLLEEE and went to the artist alley. Emi was there, I can't. I didn't dare to approach her all weekend. Anyways, when Hiba finally woke up we went up to the hotel and SHE GAVE ME MY SIGNLESS NECKLESS. (insert fangirl screams here). I'm so happy I wear it all the time. Hehehe. But uh, I think I napped ... until the gathering was happening. It was REALLY CROWDED, LIKE FUCK THAT'S A LOT OF HAMSTEAKS CROWDED. After a while I got bored and ran off to find Hiba since she went to the Adventure Time gathering. To be honest, I don't have much recollection of what happened Friday... Wow, and it's not even a day I got drunk. Oh, yeah. It was. LMAO. I drank a bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade and felt just fine really. We went down next to the artist alley where the piano was and I just kinda jammed on it. I sucked though and didn't remember how most of the songs went. It would just come to me when I tried playing I guess, but this lady came up to us and was like "Oh you play so beautiful, I would pay you if this was a street show" or something like that. I laughed, since well, I was, drunk,,, Hiba did drag me up to the room to sober me up though....... ANYWAYS.... We went to Denny's until Alice's mom came to pick us up. Danielle kept throwing red jelly packages at me. Yay...
Saturday: I was Karkat and Alice was 12 year old!Dave! Alice was... blind most of the time it was pretty funny actually. There was again a lot of walking around, exhibition hall, artist alley, and staying in the hotel to chill and get microwaved foods. I remember it being REALLY crowded in the hotel room that day, so. many. people. Of course Danielle harassed me all the time and I'd beat her up. I distinctly remember when she pulled out Adam (some Jake cosplayer that's kinda tumblr famous)'s dick for a second. Thanks, I totally needed that. Anyways, we went to the Homestuck gathering again at 4:13, we so bamf, but ditched it within 5 minutes because honestly it was just a lot of taking pictures. Two others ditched with us and we ended up by the pool. Alice called me sometime later and came to find us and she sincerely looked like she was going to fall in the pool from far away. Even when she was by us she was... blind.. and kelp walking. Ummm, I just remember going back up the hotel and stripping down to jump in the pool. Yes, we swam around in the pool and into the jaccuzzi. It was both a good and bad mistake since it was so cold when we left it. I still had troll make up on me too, but that's okay it didn't even come off. After that we just kinda went online by sitting in the lobby until Alice had to leave.
THHEEENN, I got to down 2 bottles this time because Hiba promised. I... don't think I was drunk, but I guess I acted like it....... Let's just not. Go. There. I just remembered getting dragged to Denny's, Danielle kinda collapsed on the way back, and we went back to sleep when we got to the hotel-- only there was a lot of grabbing and stuff... I don't. Remember. EITHER WAY I FELL ASLEEP CUDDLING HIBA.
Sunday: No, I did not get a hang over. Shut up. We got up around 11(?) and I basically was counting down when I had to leave in sadness. I had to take the bus around 6:40 so I was just like 8(. Sunday was cool, we did most of our serious window shopping then and we picked up Alice's commission at the end of the day-- which was Karkat reading Twilight. I DON'T EVEN. I honestly don't recall Sunday very well... Danielle was Dirk Strider, and it was very attractive. LMAO. We all just kinda walked around and it was fun UNTIL I HAD TO GO HOME............
Hiba made me wear her space hoodie though u//////u, because I forgot a sweater since it was so warm most of the days. The metrolink ended up being free for me since this lady got an extra ticket and was like "I don't want to waste it". Yes. Good. It was a good weekend. Would do again.
