Summary: Alternative Reality, non-supernatural. There's nothing worse than a case involving dead kids, at least in the book of Detective Dean Winchester. It's just his luck that his partner is the lieutenant's favorite, and she chooses to give them the high-profile murder case of a dead girl from the suburbs. More deaths follow, and the two of them get sucked into the world of religious cults and ritualistic murders. In the face of that, Dean's feelings for aforementioned partner are the least of his problems.
A/N: This fic is like WOAH! Dean's voice is so ON POINT that you seriosly need to read this story like yesterday just for that! I was really lucky to work with such a talented writer as Gechoholic, I love all her works, and this fic was really inspiring. It was difficult to settle on the scenes because I wanted to draw like 10 but unfortunately I didn't have the time (or in some cases the skill) to do all of them. However, I was set on doing dead!Rachel (and people who know me are probably really not surprised by my choices, like - scenes where characters suffer? - bullseye!) and I don't know how many times I redrew that particular pic. It still could be better, but man, I'm just so glad it looks like she is lying on the floor instead of floating in the void of brown with her wings spread that I still count it as a win. I guess that's enough rambling. Go read the fic, people, you won't be disappointed!
