I went to see Swan Lake last Friday. I really didn't know all that much about Swan Lake besides the music and wow was it wonderful. It was a bit funny to see people I knew dancing around on stage but the story was great. I'll admit I don't know that much about ballet but everytime I go I'm just wrapped up in the show. Romeo and Juliet was fantastic and heartfelt. Dracula was intense and passionate. Swan lake was definitely like watching a dream. It's always things that exemplify human expression that I can help but just want to live in and be part of.
Cirque Du Soleil is definitely one of those things. I have an oppurtunity to see a special showing in Miami which I might very well go due even though I have to run back and forth between Ultra and South Beach for it. We'll see what time things shake out to be. But man what I wouldn't give to be able to go work for them.
I got really lucky with my seats for the Ballet too. Doing some photo work for them really has it's perks. My seats ended up being B56 and 58 on Orchestra Level.
http://foxtheatre.org/seatingchart/Foxtheatre_SeatingChart.htm Totally different experience being that close versus being way back in the upper lodge or even at the front of the Balcony. I can't wait to see snow white and cinderella. Two stories I know quite well so that should help knowing what's going on.
But human expression. Just like the title of Arielle's cd "..and what we hear [affects our hearts]..." Which to that I say, what affects our hearts fuels the radiance we express in being alive.
