779 - Conclusion (in regards to a vacation)

A possibly shorter entry on the rest of our vacation in England.

Staying in East Grinstead with Helen's cousins and Aunt Deb was probably a huge highlight of the vacation; most of it was just relaxing and kinda lazy, which was well-needed. We hung out with Hugh a lot, who was tons of fun and let us watch him play Red Dead Redemption. We were pretty much 100 percent sold on getting it when we got back to the States after watching him run around in multiplayer, lol. Other than that we just went out shopping and to lunch with her Auntie Rhona and cousin Emily a couple times, which was very nice.

Staying with her Auntie Deb was wonderful. She not only treated us to a wonderful Thai dinner with the rest of the family, but she and her husband took us to Arundel Castle, which we got TONS of pictures of because it was amazing. Almost all of the castle was open due to some special guests who were going to be staying there (did I mention the castle is still inhabited?), so we got to peer into the bedrooms and such. It was amazing. There was a fun little "skirmish" play-battle demonstration that went on outside, too, which was pretty fun to watch. We got some videos of it :) The view was just spectacular from the top of the other side of the castle, too.

After going out and getting fun kitchenware in Kent we were sent off to London to see her Uncle Martin, who is probably the nicest guy ever and pretty much spoiled us the whole time we were there. First day we got there we went to see Chicago which was a GREAT show, and her cousin Joanna gave us tons of programs and stuff from the gift shop. Did I mention we were spoiled?

Other highlights included going to the London Aquarium, walking along Westminster Bridge and seeing Big Ben, taking the Big Bus Tours (which tell you SO MUCH about London that you can't absorb it all, it was amazing), and seeing Wicked our last day there. For those of you who missed my tweet about being really drunk, weeelllllll~~ I kinda got really drunk, lol. They took us out the night before our flight to THREE BARS (not even kidding) and we had to have had no less than four drinks. Five? It was a lot. Actually we both got sick because of it :( And the next day getting on the plane was like BLEEEGH, but it's okay because the ride was relatively painless and they had 30 Rock on little TV screens in the seats so we were fine.

It was a wonderful experience overall, despite the rocky beginnings, but I AM happy to be home and with my kitten, who has been a big snugglebunny for the past couple days <3

The rest of the summer is gonna be hella hectic, though :V
