770 - Let me tell you a story

So today has been crazy!

Helen and I say "let's go out and buy cat food and trade in some games." Cool okay it's a pretty nice day (considering the freaky-deaky snowstorm yesterday) so we go out. Go to petsmart buy catfood. Go back to the car.

Car will not start.

Man helps us jump the car! Car will still not start.

Helen calls AAA, and we say "well it could have been worse we could have gotten stranded in the snow in the middle of nowhere. This is convenient, really."

My phone dies after calling my mom about the whole thing :1

Tow comes, jumps the car (it works), tells us to go to Farm and Fleet for battery change. We go off, get it all sorted out, decide to walk to Culvers for lunch since it's in the same parking lot. Go out the farthest exit. Realize that it's actually the garden section and so we turn around to go back.

Door will not open. We're locked outside. No one is close by.

"well it could have been worse," we say, "it could be cold and snowy/rainy instead of sunny." We go to the very very back of the lot, find an open door near the automotive section, and get out of the store. FINALLY get to Culvers, scarf food down.

Helen feels sick. Goes to the bathroom and throws up her lunch. Apparently her sandwich was not-so-good. She comes back shakey.

"Let's just get out of here and go home," she says.

We decide not to say "it could be worse" anymore.

Wait for another half hour. Ninety-three dollars later, we're home and I collapse and take a nap. Left at 12:15, got home after 3:20.

God punished us for going out to buy catfood.
