End of Summer Blues n' Stuff
I've been feeling kind of lackluster lately...I don't know if it's because I know classes are starting next week or what, but I don't even have an appetite anymore. I've been having to force myself to eat at the proper hour. The usual things I love don't even sound good right now.
Anyway it looks like my fanart contest is turning out to be kind of a flop, maybe my prizes aren't good enough....but I'm poor! Anyway I've pretty much decided at this point that I am going to be extending the contest, but I won't make an official announcement about it until the weekend. Not sure if I'm going to have a Patches update this week or not, as I haven't had the will to work on it, and I am still struggling to get my Digital Comic Illustration syllabus done before the start of Saturday School. I guess I'm getting a taste of what being a full time teacher will be like. As a person studying art ed, I can say that we learn a lot about theory, and we have some practice in the field, but really I think most of the learning is going to happen afterwards when you have to have x number of lessons ready to go by the end of summer. It's hard trying to come up with lesson ideas let alone make up the plan!!! And then you think, what if the students hate my lessons!
