Hikaru was humming softly as she cooked, happily content with life. She wasn't sure when Yui was going to be arriving, but she was cooking for three anyways. She wasn't even sure that Yui was going to come over today or if she was planning to come over tomorrow, but it didn't really bother her. If she came today, there would be enough cooked for ( Read more... )

Yui had tore up her room and a fit earlier trying to find out Hikaru's number. She couldn't even remember if she got it in the first place. "Damn." she muttered softly to herself. Yui figured since she knew where Hikaru lived that she could just show up and ask.

"I have no choice." she finally decided giving up. Quickly she pulled on her yellow winter jacket and slipped on her sneakers by the front door. It wasn't to far to walk and Yui enjoyed it.

Shortly after arriving at Hikaru's place she hesitated some not wanting to bother the family but she had to find out an answer so she shiftily knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

Hikaru opened the door and smiled at Yui. "Sakurai-chan. Come in." she said, moving out of the way so that Yui could enter.

Yui nodded. "Thanks, I was just coming over to ask what time did you want me to come tomorrow. My parents left earlier today and I figured I would find out so not to inconvenience you in any way." Yui said as she slipped off her shoes and looked around Hikaru's home.

The house was small, typical of Japanese homes, but it was clean and cozy feeling. The smell of cooking food filled the air and Hikaru's father gave Yui a friendly smile from the couch, where he was currently trying to sew his pants back together. He was doing a comical job of it and seemed to be at a loss for what he should be doing ( ... )

Yui eyed the eye with a lifted brow, she wasn't used to people being so trusting. "Thanks I will be sure to return it after my stay Mr. Tsukita. I will love to have dinner too but afterwards I would have to run home and grab my things." Yui added thinking of her bags back home.

"It smells good Hikaru, you must have worked hard."

Hikaru gave Yui a somewhat shy smile. "I hope you like tonkatsu..." she said softly, setting rice, steamed vegetables and tonkatsu on the table. She then came back with cucumber salad to set down as well.

"Would you like something to drink, Sakurai-chan? Tea? Coffee? Water?" she asked, clearly able to list more if she wanted something else. Her father simply got up from where he was in the living room and came to the table, gesturing to Yui to make herself comfortable. Seeing him sit down, Hikaru set a cup of tea in front of him.

She was waiting for Yui to settle before she would ask if she wanted Hikaru to help bring over her things. She had the extra futon set up in her room already, the room being traditional with futons on the floor that could be folded and put away during the day. It was a small room and Hikaru would offer her to sleep in her father's room once he left, which was a little more spacious.

Yui sat down awkwardly not used at all to being waited on. "Uh water is fine. It looks really good, and call me Yui. I hate my surname."

Hikaru set a glass of water in front of Yui before taking her own seat. "Alright." she said softly, a shy smile on her face.

Yui enjoyed the meal and the time she spent with Hikaru afterwords she helped clean up before asking. "You wanted to come with me to pick my stuff up right?" she asked instead of just leaving.

Hikaru gave her a smile and nodded. "If you don't mind, Yui-chan."

((OOC: o.o Sorry for the majorly late reply....went to India and then nobody was in the RP when I came back. Was checking if people were updating with Amanda istead of Hikaru))

((OOC: Thats no problem it was down for a little while anyway))

"I don't mind, just don't make eye contact with the dogs." Yui smiled as she thought of Shige and his friends that seemed to shack up at their house.

"Do you mean real dogs or your brother's?" Hikaru asked softly, keeping her voice low so her father wouldn't overhear. He was in the other room talking on the phone about the travel plans. Unlike his gentle and quiet daughter, he was cheerfully loud.

Hikaru pulled on a battered coat that had seen better days but was still warm as she got ready to leave.

"My brother and his 'gang' of friends. They get excited when I real girl comes over so they can focus on something rather then the porn on the TV." Yui said in disgust.

"My parents really don't care what happens at my house but I figured I should at least warn you that it is far from civil."

Hikaru just gave Yui a gentle smile that had just a touch of the other side of her she'd shown at the ballet. "I'm not worried about them. We'll just bring them some muffins and give them some food....girls aren't ever as interesting as food to a teenaged boy's mind." Hikaru said as she disappeared into the kitchen to grab a basket of muffins and other baked goodies.

Yui shook her head with a soft smile, food was more then those thugs deserved but she wasn't going to complain or stop her.

Hikaru wrapped the basket up so that it didn't show and wouldn't get too cold outside and then smiled at Yui as she slipped on her outdoor shoes. "Daddy, we're going to get Yui-chan's stuff!" Hikaru called, giving her father a wave.

"Iterashai!" her father called from the back room. He never failed to say that, being superstitious.
