Stopped at 5AF, so we're still at the very beginning. I spent SO LONG just running around everywhere trying to get people to tell me more about the Academy. There was a group of gossiping girls who were talking about a young person, "Alyssa's age", who had just been appointed head of an entire research department.
I MUST HAVE SCREAMED AT THAT POINT. That's my baby! 5AF, so Hope would be 19 during that time and hfdjksfjkds what is this already head of a research department? HOW MANY GRADES DID YOU SKIP, BABY? Because he has a degree, yeah? A science degree, and last we saw him, he hadn't started high school yet. It's only been five years, holy crap.
We see him at 10AF where he's 24 and Director of the Academy, yeah? But... how long has he held that title for? O_O THEY DON'T SAY. Alyssa at 5AF was an Academy intern, and everyone talked about how smart she was. UM.
Possibly more on this after I stop spazzing over how I'm convinced he's the white king of this chess game.
