...Or at least, there's a bit of spoiler in this vid. Bromance spoilers, maaaan.
See, the funny this is that I don't ship Arthur/Merlin, but it's impossible to avoid because 98% of the fandom contains that pairing. (I said the same with Sasuke/Naruto, and I maintain both those sayings.) I'll read it, I'll write it, but sometimes when I read it I'd feel really bad even if there's a happy ending. Mostly because in my head, it just doesn't fit.
But it really is impossible to avoid, especially with the whole destiny thing and the 'two sides of the same coin' thing and everything Merlin doing being for Arthur (which is actually one of the reasons I can't ship them-- because Merlin is so dedicated to Arthur and... Arthur's never going to return that, let's be honest. He's got Guinevere and Camelot to think about. Merlin would hit #3 to him, and to me, that's just not fair when you think about just how Merlin does everything for Arthur. That's why I was so sad when Freya died, because for once Merlin had been ready to put someone else, anything, before Arthur and then she's just... gone), and then just always being together.
I totally see that epic bromance. I have a much harder time floating on the ship, though.
...And I'm just ranting right now. Got sick! So I'm nursing what seems to be the eleventh cup of tea today and waiting for that Nyquil to kick in. Carry on.
