Thanksgiving was pretty cool (Missed you, Menchi~ ♥) although it was only me, Tara, and Chris today (what happened to everyone else, lawl?). We went to SuiShaYa for lunch, and then checked out the newly opened shops in Metrotown. Sephora was pretty damned amazing, although ridiculously expensive (but then, what else to expect from a make-up store like that?) Tara and I got our nails done in a rainbow of colours, though, haha. Each nail is a different colour. I think Chris got a bit irritated with the amount of time spent there, though. ^^;; Although he says it's because of how many people were in the store, and bumping into someone every other second.
So Forever 21 finally opened (now just called XXI) and we spent a few minutes in there... again, not long because there's a whole bunch of people in the mall on Thanksgiving. Just long enough to walk through the store and get a feel for it. It looks so classy! So different from the dingy little shop that opened up on Alhambra so very long ago, and then the shop in Santa Anita mall. It has an in-store escalator and everything, since it's two stories. Super classy!
Which leads to going to karaoke afterwards... new place, just across the street from the karaoke place we always go to, since we figured we'd check it out... yeah. That place looked really classy as well, and only a little bit more expensive... with touch screen computers and neo-modern furniture and bright lights and all and a bubble tea menu. It was really pretty.
We didn't like it. It was definitely really really pretty for a photoshoot at a karaoke place, but in terms of actual selection and all... they started talking to me in Mandarin the moment I got in, and I stumbled for a moment (Gods, my Western accent is just starting to get worse and worse) over words before answering. We got an hour in there trying to find songs that we'd like and wondering why the music just... didn't fit the songs we chose.
So we came out of that a bit disappointed and decided to go back to our old karaoke place, lawlawlawl. Dark, plain, old style and all. It was fantastic. We found so many Vocaloid songs now that we were looking for it! All the songs were easy to find and we got free food and water and ended up with nearly two hours instead of one again. So after so many trips to different karaoke places... I think I'll just keep that one as my favourite.
Had turkey pasta for dinner today. ♥ It was nummy~ We also sent out the Bodyline order today, so it technically SHOULD be arriving on Friday. The wig order also comes in this week! Wheee~
