I hope everyone is staying safe at home. Here things are getting worse as time passes by. We still don't reach 1000 cases but the number is raising more and more each day. Thank God we have great specialists giving us accurate information in a daily conference at 7pm, among them Dr. Hugo López-Gatell who is a epidemiologist. I really respect this man for all the work he's doing and the fact that he answers all the reporters' questions even when they are repetitive. I have high hopes that he'll be right and if we keep taking precautions there won't be as many cases and deaths in our country.

With that said, it's very likely that the date to return to classes will be pushed back, even Dr. López-Gatell already mentioned it. It hasn't been easy to work from home, there are some moms that have sent me over 20 e-mails in a single day and our school's platform has been having a lot of issues, probably because of the high demand. We're also going to attend a course to learn to use Google Classroom and I'm sure the workload will just keep getting bigger because parents and the headmasters are expecting a lot of us.

Despite all of this, I'm actually very thankful for my job, unfortunately a lot of workers are being fired and independent small businesses are really losing everything because of the pandemic. Both my sister and I are teachers so we have being able to keep our jobs without worrying too much, if we hadn't, I truly have no idea what would be of us during this complicated time. My heart feels for those in difficult financial situations because I have been there and it can be really worrisome. I'm expecting the government to give out some support, they already stated that enterprises shouldn't be firing their workers but instead look for ways to let them work from home. Hopefully it helps.

I pray for everyone's safety. Let's be cautious and keep hoping for the best.
