I should be working on translation paper for Tetsugaku, but, oh, well, Magi and Air Gear distracted me. In 2 chapters, Air Gear will be finished, done, there'll be no update anymore, which is a very sad thing for me. I've been pretty late in discovering Air Gear, probably 2 years after it's first serialization, however, this manga series is still dear for me. Here in Indonesia, it's already licensed and was released periodically. Even though I've read the mangascan, I'm still buying them loyally. True this series had it ups and down, from graphical aspect to story aspect. When Omaha appeared, it was a serious temptation to leave this once and for all but then Oh Great-sensei managed to fix the blundering mess and makes this series once again interesting for me.
Maybe what makes me love this series so much is all the implication about wings and freedom. I always crave for wings, I always crave for freedom, in fact, my biggest dream is to fly, far far away to a tranquil place where no one can find me. No matter how nonsensical the quotes about wings, fly, and freedom in this series, for me, it carries within itself a strange sense of romanticism. We all have wings; this short sentence carries a lots of different meaning.
For Magi itself, I cannot say much, but;
ALL THIS ALIBABA/MORGIANA FEELINGS, SOBS
is so complicated, I don't know what to feel
Ok, let's get back to my paper...
