I'm not a very technical person, so we can all kind of laugh when I say I want to learn computer programing, web design, and 3D game design. But some bug bit me, and all I can think of is learning the new technology making some really cool projects and eventually landing a job at someplace like Bioware. Lately I've been taking some time to learn Blender-dou. I have come away with some amount of success. When I read the manual and watch the tutorials, I get it, which is somewhat of a surprise for me. Yesterday I made some really ugly sushi, but it did indeed exist, and I was the one who made it. I haven't tried making terrain yet, but it looks really easy. When I was reading the manual it totally made sense to me. The basic concept behind it is really simple. After working on my one little piece of makizushi though, I really do wonder who would torture themselves making an entire movie this way? You have to build EV-ER-RY-THING from scratch. Maybe it's the grand sense of "holy crap I actually did it!" when you're done. Even the ugly sushi counts as a win. I'm kinda happy now I have a sculpture degree. Not the I was terribly unhappy with it, but I think it'll actually come in handy now.
