Who? Meteors
What? Perseid Meteor Shower
When? Tuesday, August 12th. 2:00am is peak time according to Skurtchasor. Although if you are out late at night any day before then, you'll probably see some early birds. D, I suggest a camera.
Where? Look high in the North Eastern sky. Constellation Perseus. Try for somewhere with less light pollution, but you'd probably be able to see it on the outskirts of BN. Danvers, and The Sticks will be the hip places to be. For the Chicagoans, I'm not really sure if you have any retreats from the city, though some of them might be bright enough to see.
Why? Because we are passing through the core of the debris tail of the Swift - Tuttle comet.
Completely and utterly cool. The Universe is breathtaking.
