Greetings from the sticks
Yay. I haven't posted in a long time. Not that I really have much of interest to talk about. Thought I let you all know I'm still alive at any rate.
On the wildlife front: our yard is inundated with teeny-tiny, itty-bitty, little frogs. Most border on nickel size. They just hop around. I'm afraid when I mow that I'm mowing them over, too.
Friday the neighbor's horses got out and were just grazing across the road from our house. Then when they cut across the road a minivan decided the thing to do was drive slowly right behind them and honk continueously. There's a winner. So I got a dog leash and went to go wrangle them before they got hurt. Luckily, one of the owners showed up in a car with more leads and we got a hold of the situation. Then I walked one of the horses back while the lady took the other two. We got to be friends in the two minute walk. Yay. Now I'm invited to go visit whenever. So cool. ^_^

How could I forget Saturday morning started off my horrible, no good, very bad day with my cat sitting in a glue trap. Poor thing. Mom and I had to wrangle her and snip out the glue in her fur. Then we had to use peanut butter to try and get it off her pads and in between her toes. (Yes peanut butter. It acts a whole lot like goo gone. Pretty good at getting rid of sticker glue. )
On the job front: Holy Cow. Everyday I try to put a brave face on it. Everyday it's more of the same crap. But it's wierd. Since I've been marathon training with Dad, I think I must be producing a lot of endorphins, because I end up going through the day in blithe irritation. It's a bizarre feeling.
I keep looking for a new and different job. Though I really want a career and not just another job.
Job related: I finally have two consecutive days off!! And you know what I'm going to do with them? You guessed it! I'm off to go a visiting. So on Tuesday I'm driving up, spending the night and then coming back on Wednesday. I'm just dying for some ethnic food, as the closest thing we have to ethnic arround here is Hy-Vee Chinese, so I made dinner plans with Tokoz for Tuesday night. If anyone else has anything special they'd like to do, let me know.
