And so I started watching Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas...
...Uh, in point form again I guess. XD;;
1) The ending song Hana no Kusari reminds me of the opening song of Spice & Wolf, Tabi no Tochuu. With a female singer as main and a male singer in the background. THE LYRICS THOUGH. *glares at Kurumada Masami*
2) I think I understand why this series is so famous now. But then, I still haven't watch/read the original series yet...
3) I expected lots of character death cause I was spoiled quite a lot before watching this but I still feel sad when some of them died. ;_;
4) Until now, I have no hatred towards any of the enemies/Hades army/the Specters yet. Even towards Minos, the one who sorta killed my most favorite Gold Saint at the moment. XD;
5) ...I spoiled myself quite a b-... okay so a lot at wikipedia regarding the characters of Lost Canvas and of the original series. I'm still sad that Cancer seems to be very ebil? XD;
6) I love the seiyuu casts in this OVA... ;_;
7) Until episode 10, I think I haven't seen a lot of the characters yet, like I think I've only seen half of the Gold Saints? But for now, my most favorite Gold Saint is Pieces Albafica. No him being voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi has nothing to do with that. XD; Nor did Ishida Akira voicing Virgo Asmita has anything to do with him being my second favorite Gold Saint okay. *shot*
...honestly speaking though, both of them have long hair. And with me and my hair fetish, of course they get special ranking... and that goes to Minos too. *coughs* A-anyway, I feel like buying a big poster of Albafica now and put it up on the wall so I can eternally admire his beauty or something. *_* As for Asmita, ...I think I'll start worshiping him as a god instead, if I put up a poster of him in meditation. ;; ...Albafica is really pretty.... *shot*
8) My favorite Specter at the moment would be Minos and Kagaho. ...well yeah, they're the two most obvious choices at the moment anyway. XD; But really I think Minos is really cool. I want to know more about Kagaho but FukuJun has manage to convince me that he'll be a great character already. ;_; His scream after his defeat from Aldebaran is really heart-wrenching...
9) As for the main characters. Tenma is a pretty typical main character to me. I do appreciate the fact that in a sense, he still wants to be on Alone's side if it was possible. I think I read in wiki that in Next Dimension, Tenma really DID mean to stay by his side, but failed to do so? ...I kinda want to read that now. ;;; But it seems that Next Dimension is EVEN MORE COMPLICATED than Lost Canvas so I'll... see. ;;;;;
10) ...I do agree that Athena's a foolish goddess. ;;; Why reincarnate as a human and suffer all these feelings? And having have to fight in a Holy War every 200++ years and losing your Saints and not being able to revive them and all but... I don't know much about her yet? XD;;
11) I think Hades is weird too. I can understand that he wants to treasure his own body or well, to protect himself and all so he uses another body but why the man with the purest soul on Earth? XD;; He's not Lucifer; a fallen angel or something like that so... wouldn't the most evil person on Earth suit him more? ;; A-anyway. I still don't get his personality I suppose. More like, I don't get Alone/Hades, Sasha/Athena's personalities. ;; So who's the main? Is Alone evil now, or is that just Hades taking over? But then Hades wouldn't bother with childhood friends etc then right? Cause that is Alone's memory. Same with Athena too...
12) ...I'm sorry. >.<;; But Code Geass came into mind sometimes. Just, only when Alone/Hades went "Come join me Tenma". XD;
I think that's enough for now. I still have 3 episodes to go. After that, I'll decide if I'll read the manga or wait for more of the OVA episodes to come out.
...As a side note, I read Arata Kangatari until the latest available in English scans. 8D
