Hum, I think you've gotten a wee little error in getting Vanessa's animal spirit. I think in previous chapters, R.J had been calling her 'Minx' and not 'Manx'. You might have mixed it up with Kat Manx XD

Actually, while writing this I realized there is no such thing as a Minx, which is what I'd thought her spirit was. There's Manx, as in Manx Cat, or Mink, as in the weasel family. I read over the two discriptions of the spirits, got a second opinion, and realized that a Manx Cat would fit her better. That doesn't change the fact that R.J. calls her Minx, however.

Basically, this was my attempt at correcting the error.
