Prince of Tennis Translated

Nov 28, 2011 16:21

So, I'm working on a Prince of Tennis AU fic at the moment, because I'm tired of planning out fanfics in my sleep. And how I wish that was a joke. rosabelle was 'helping', and I realized I can actually use what she suggested. Then I was trying to explain the characters to explain why I *can* use it, and I came to this conclusion.

Prince of Tennis Translated into the PR Universe:
  • Ryoma, the main character: Andros with a tennis racket.
He's incredibly smart and arrogant, but actually has a reason to be. His amount of determination is frightening, and he has no social skills whatsoever until the others (namely Momo-chan) beat them into him.
  • Team Captain Tezuka: Carter in glasses, only meaner.
Serious and responsible, dedicated, and a mature leader. They're also both afraid to show weakness. Carter's a little more forgiving than Tezuka, though. By a lot.
  • Co-Captain Oishi: Kat as a boy.
His nickname as the team's mother-hen pretty much says it all.
  • Fuji: Zhane, only evil.
Also incredibly smart, always pleasant and nice, yet fiercely protective of those he loves. Plus he has a reputation of mysteriously knowing everything and manipulating others to do his bidding.
  • Eiji: Zack
Turn Zack into an acrobat and you've got Eiji. He's freakishly perky most of the time and his style of tennis is full of personality. Plus they're both popular and fun to be around.
  • Inui: Sky with glasses.
Obsessed with data and health, and has a cruel streak the size of the Grand Canyon. Sky may not be as evil, but they'd probably get along.
  • Kaidoh: Merrick
Anti-social and secretly incredibly dedicated and honorable for reasons unknown to anyone else. Their teams are constantly forcing them to be social.
  • Kawamura - Maddison/Vida
He's sweet and eager to please, always trying to make other people happy. Stick a tennis racket in his hand, and suddenly he's Vida as a pyromaniac.
  • Momo: Rocky
Momo-chan's the kind of guy who goes out of his way to be friends with everyone, and makes a point to pull others out of their shell. He doesn't necessarily get along with *everyone* though, unlike Eiji and Zack.

.... And now I'm getting CrackPlotbunnies. And really disturbing pairing thoughts. >.O

    SAVE ME.
