Time Force still makes no sense. ... Why do I like it again?
So apparently when I'm in pain *, I'm funny. And critique/think about Time Force lots. Who knew?

Akume: It's be in some universe where Alex really was Wes' clone or something.
Akume: Or maybe Wes/Jen/Eric with them raising MiniAlex together.
Akume: I don't know.

rosabelle: Oh god, if you do Wes/Jen/Eric being MiniAlex's parents, you have to cross it over with a Jen/Alex universe at some point :D

Akume: Which I think has to do with the fact that no one seemed to know what personality to give him in the first episode, from what I can tell. They didn't seem to think much beyond 'Well, he's gonna die anyway, so let's make him SUPER AMAZING AWESOME RANGER!'

Akume: And then they're like 'So ... we're bringing him back. But we don't want people to miss him when he goes away again. ... Crap.'
Absent thoughts about Time Force after re-watching the first episode this morning to give me ideas about how to make Alex bloody and injured and angsty:
- It's probably a bad sign that despite *knowing* what Alex looks like, knowing that he and Wes are played by the same actor, I was still surprised to hear Wes' voice when TimeForceRed went to arrest Ransik.
- Ransik pulling bone weapons out of his body is disgusting, yet awesome. With the dark lighting in that first scene, I was totally trying to figure out if there was actually supposed to be blood on the sword or not when he was holding it up.
- How the hell did Alex know what the 'heart to the timehole generator' thingie was? o.O Is this something they covered in basic training, or is he just that smart? No one else seemed to know.
- Logan has no emotions about catching Ransik. He just keeps clapping Alex on the shoulder and telling him 'Well done.' The only time he seems to show any emotion is when he's yelling at Jen. This intruiges me, because there could be several reasons behind it.
- So it's the Judges' *Council*. Huh.
- What exactly *is* 'Crygentic Containment for Life' supposed to mean, anyway? Is that like, his measured life span? The life of the prison? Forever? It's not like he's gonna die in containment, after all.
- When Ransik gets his sentence, everyone is cheering and clapping - except Alex. He lets out this relieved sigh and claps almost absentmindedly. Which, considering Ransik is supposed to be 'the last criminal on the streets', is kind of ... oddly unemotional of him. Especially when *he's* the one who brought him in.
- Nadira looks like she's either gonna cry or kill someone when they make that announcement. Not that I blame her, but.
- Ransik smirking after he was sentenced was *creepy*.
- Wow, the guards really are manhandling him there, aren't they? And that collar around his neck is a little over the top. I mean, what's he gonna do? Spontaneously throw bone darts out of his throat at them?
... Eww. >.<
- Katie snuggling Trip after Lucas yells at him is ♥. And I don't even ship Trip/Katie.
- I love how Lucas tries to insist to Jen that they should demand their jobs back, yet when she's like 'We're the ones who lost Ransik, and *we're* going to be the ones who bring him in!' he's all 'Wait, *WHAT*? Are you nuts?!'
- Ransik pulling bone weapons out of his body is still disgusting. Now trying to figure out how that works, since logically he shouldn't be able to move if that was actually part of his spine. Which means it isn't, and he's somehow developed space pockets in his body for hiding weaponry. Still very cool, and totally gross. >.O
- It sounds like they tried to slow-motion Jen's scream. Which was a bad idea, because she does better screams later in the series. This just makes it seem like Erin Cahill can't act, which we all know isn't true.
- What exactly does Time Force normally do with dead people if Alex is supposedly dead, yet they're doing medical things to him and telling Jen 'We'll take it from here'?
- Ransik's right; that *was* far too easy. How did Alex go from catching Ransik single-handedly while surrounded by Cyclobots to dying in less than five minutes in a one-on-one battle? o.O
- "Someone's taken the time ship." "What?" Officer-type Informant Dude and Captain Logan are awfully mild-mannered about this. If anything, Logan sounds mildly irritated until he calls Jen to yell at her to turn off the engines. Which, yeah. Brilliant way to stop them there. -Rolls eyes-
- The security team that Logan sends to the launch pad seems to be wearing uniforms that look a lot like what Alex is wearing when he's being all stalker-like and watching over the Rangers. Also, white is not one of the first colors I would imagine wanting my security people to wear. But then we already knew Time Force has no sense of subtly, so.
- The more of Jen, Lucas, Katie, and Trip I see in this episode, the less I actually like them. I keep having to remind myself that they get better. Eventually.
- Everytime I see that megazord that does the launching sequence, all I can think is 'Wow, megazord retirement *sucks*.'
- ... And now I'm wondering why Time Force has a megazord that needed retiring to timeship launching in the first place. *Damn it*. >.<
- I kind of want to watch the next episode now so I can annoy myself with Wes (considering how much I've forced his character to evolve over the years in Bright Skies), but at the same time I'm scared to.

* I have large, painful swollen lumps on the back of my wrists and outside of my knees and ankles. My fingers are swollen and stiff, I can't straighten my arms all the way at the elbow, and it's hard to walk 'cause my knees don't like bending or supporting my weight. I think I may be pinching a nerve in the back of my neck too, 'cause I have a headache that doesn't want to die. >.<
It's not the first time I've had these things, but the diagnoses I've been given vary. One doctor once declared my hands to be carpal tunnel, while another thought I have edema. Which is bullshit, 'cause this HURTS.
Basically, I'm very tired and cranky and hurting right now. Which makes me a lot more cynical and overly critical than usual. Good for muses, bad for friends. c.c;;;
