Bravery. Maybe I has just a little.

So, this morning I mentioned that I finally got up the nerve to submit my story for The We Got Your Back Project. Granted, it took me two months to finally talk myself into it although writing the story itself only took maybe an hour or two. Mostly nerves. Also because my 'bullying' isn't really what most people consider bullying, so I wasn't sure if it would be accepted for the project.

I got an e-mail a couple hours ago thanking me for my submission and asking if I minded them using my real name, or preferred a pseudonym. I replied. (Although I'm kind of amused that I signed it as 'Jennifer' and they posted it under 'Gennie', which is what my e-mail account calls me.) An hour or so later, I was checking Facebook and found they'd already posted my story.

-Pauses to squee-

This is the first time I've had something non-fanfic or school-related published. And two people have already marked that they liked it. Plus additional comments from phantom_blue and dj_rocca. I swear my face is still red. ^.^;;

I made an absent comment about linking it here, 'cause while I'm still a little nervous, I'm actually rather proud of myself for managing to finally submit it. phantom_blue immediately talked me into it.

So here, in all it's awkward glory, is You Are Loved. ♥
