Sky! Your Sky make my heart hurt a little bit. All stoic and self-posessed, even as a kid. And realizing that Wes was freaking out about the others, oh Sky!

And, oh Wes! too, you really catch the torn feeling of his not wanting Sky to be different, but wanting Sky all the same. And the fact that he knows how torn he is; that he cringes at the others using their abilities and knows he's in the wrong, but just does it without thought... that's is just heart-wrenching. Damn you! I'm not supposed to get so involved with these characters!

So, when are you updating next? ^_^

On a lighter note, I love Sky calling Z "Bethie".

Sky *was* such a stoic-looking kid in his flashback! It made me wonder why. I still haven't quite figured that part out yet, but I'm working on it. c.c;;

Very touching, and only Sky would be able to hide something like that as a young child.

This impressed me as an allegory of a gay kid being found out by a shocked but loving parent - don't know if you intended it that way.

Actually, I was going with the idea that Sky has always been very observant and eager-to-please, even as a child. Something about the solemn expression he wore in his flashback scene during cannon makes me believe he was serious and secretive even then.

But the way you referenced it is interesting, even if it wasn't supposed to be on purpose. ^.^;;

I'm all sad for Little Sky now, thinking that Wes wouldn't love him anymore because of his powers. And for Wes, for losing so much and being so torn... *sighs* Dammit, how do you *do* that?
