I still love that the first scene is of the guardians and Card Master. The magic of CCS made it dear to my heart. I never get enough of fire breathing Kero and certainly never enough of weapon-weilding Yue. He is ever so elegant, pulling that bow.

Other than that, movie2 doesn't offer me much... except headaches and a need to recover from the sugar. It's SxS, fair enough, but I don't have to pretend I watched CCS for the ingenue couple. If it were up to me, there would be a spin-off series about the adults. Yukito could go to school where Fujitaka teaches, and Touya could become employed by Sonomi's company. They could all solve crimes or something. Hijinks could ensue.

The headaches come from trying to make (Watsonian) sense of the Void card. I wrote "Symmetria" [AO3] just recently, still trying to figure out how to make sense of Clow's magic structure. Ying Yang, Sun Moon, Four Elements, and Dark Light. FFS. The Doyelist perspective knows that CLAMP thought no further than joker-card-plot-device. Still, I think I figured it out, at least to my satisfaction for now.
