Li, watching and waiting, just in time to catch Sakura before she fell. Aw, that's my man.
Okay, so this moment here at lunch is really really huge, and I want to make sure no one misses it. Tomoyo passed out the first generation of phones very early in season one, back when it was just the two girls and Kero, and that's been their communication network this whole time. Though Li and Sakura have been implicit partners for a long time now (emphasis on the implicit), nobody made it formal until now. This simple act of Tomoyo handing Li a phone to include him in the official network makes the partnership explicit. He's not the rival from Hong Kong anymore, he's one of them. It's a moment well overdue, but I also think Li probably sensed that change deep in his emotionally stunted self, and realized he's crossing a smoldering bridge. The phone is just one more step closer to the other side.
UMPH that moment under the tree. How Touya puts his hand against the trunk right by Yuki's head glub glub glub. How could all the volleyball girls over there not fall over and swoon on the spot? I did.
All these kids, constantly climbing trees and taking naps in them. I can't imagine anyone in my class at school doing that and not getting in trouble. Jeez, Japanese schools are so rigid about some things and so relaxed about others.
Fujitaka, spending the night at college. Sure, and tell Maki we all said hi.
"Everything is about guts and force!" Kero, you give cute motivational talks. And it's a very apt one too.
L-chan said something about Yukito's disguise creating a layer of bureaucracy, which is true enough. It makes me wonder if Yue exerted some kind of influence so that Yukito would 'accidentally' go home with Touya's book, giving him the reason to visit Kinomoto central later.
This bit where Yue abruptly decides to fall back into Yukito, making Kero panic and run into the hall, makes me crack up. Somehow I think it all ties back to their ancient brotherly relationship. Yue enjoys making Kero sweat.
Sakura is petrified of dark and scary places, but she has no problem floating down to the bottom of a dark, opaque, mysteriously created hole? I don't mind caves, but even I would have thought twice about that.
So Li doesn't mind nearly frying Kero's tail with his magic, but when Kero tries to blast through with fire, he's quick to shield Tomoyo. I feel like this says more about his relationship with Kero than Tomoyo.
And... the stuffed sheep. Excuse while I pause to point out how incredibly STUPID this is. Out of all of Eriol's absurd schemes, this is definitely one of the goofiest. I know the writers are trying to portray Eriol as this calm, mature boy who's so much more sophisticated than the other kids because he's a reincarnation, but his dumb attacks bely the point. Instead, his plots make me think of what would happen if you asked a three year-old boy what we should do with the Fun Magic Tricks today. RAWR gonna make a giant teddy bear! Gonna make the piano chase people! Gonna dig a big hole and fill it with stuffed toys GRR RAWR can I have my snack now?

Plus, Tomoyo/Syaoran friendship is awesome. I'd like to think if Meiling were still there, she would've gotten one too. They're all Scoobies.

And I know I'm all alone on Team Merge, but I'm serious--they talk about how Yue doesn't have enough energy. Isn't maintaining the facade taking up energy? Jettisoning the unnecessary disguise seems the best way to save energy. If you didn't have enough money for the month, you wouldn't just sit around going, "Well, I don't have any money, I guess." You'd be looking for ways to save and more efficiently use what you do have. If you were smart, that is. I guess if you're a giant leech, you'd be looking for ways to guilt people you know into giving your theirs instead of fixing your own problem first.
Speaking of money, where does Yukito get any to buy all that food and maintain that house? Sometimes he works part-time with Touya, but that can't be enough. Who actually owns that house? Is he squatting?
