And we begin with the ubiquitous teddy bear motif of season 3. i'd almost forgotten another of S3's drinking games. It's cute enough when it's between the girls, but I have a hard time buying Li's involvement in the whole affair.
"You always glare at me with a scary face." Hell, that's everyone, so don't feel self-conscious, Eriol. Takes at least a year and a half to get in his good graces.
I love how Li barks at Sakura "I'm going too!" without actually asking to be invited. It's just not in his nature to figure how to be polite. Or human, at times. It makes me adore him all the more.
"Kono kehai!" Bottoms up, everyone, and knock back the drink of your choice.
Why Sakura is just standing there with her eyes closed when she knows Li is possibly under a fatal possession, I just don't know. Why should Tomoyo have to throw herself to intervene when both Sakura and Kero were aware of the danger? Next time, Sakura, trying jumping to the nearest rooftop before shutting your eyes to mull things over.
This conversation that Spinel has with Nakaru about being quick to snack on people really weirds me out. How is Clow's reincarnation okay with this, that his guardian is like a magic-zombie that eats other people's powers? That's a horrible thing to do, and while Eriol has a heavy dose of devious running through his veins, he doesn't seem interested in permanently injuring innocent bystanders. He made a point of asking Rika after the water park incident if she would be able to get back in the water again, and seemed relieved when she answered yes. I cant' see how he could allow Nakaru to do such a thing.
And yes, the design of big Spinel and Ruby Moon is super totally cool. Nakaru's butterfly outfit looks fabulous compared to Yue's bellhop jacket, and I though I love Kero's full size look, a giant panther with blue butterfly wings is just really awesome to see.

There's nothing eleven-year-old boys love more than going to the yarn store!

Actually I wish Nakuru's threat had been more serious. Would've been a much more interesting storyline for Touya. Moon magic is his weakness after all.
So that's two episodes without Yue. What exactly is the point of him as a guardian? It's inconvenient to get hold of him in an emergency because he lives somewhere else and has that pesky unnecessary disguise holding him back. It's like a layer of bureaucracy you have to bullshit through before anything can get done. I can't believe Clow planned this on purpose. Although maybe he did, because he seems to have been pretty stupid about a lot of things.
