Challenge: Harlequin Romance.
Canon: Yes/No/Maybe So.
Genre: Romance, unless you can think of a way to avoid it. In which case, go you.
Rating: G-PG13, which is lower than actual Harlequin novels, but oh well.
Description: You know those Harlequin romance novels of much-famed badness? Even if you don't, you must know the plots. Write a fic based on a romance novel plot, or based around romance novels. Pirates, kidnappings, long-lost countesses, arranged marriages--anything's fair game, so go crazy!
Time: Two weeks.
Special bonus: Many/most of you have probably seen the romance novel cover meme that's going around, and I know a lot of people have made CCS covers. So, if you have, link to them in a comment and people can use them for plots. (Mine are here, and mega bonus points go to anyone who writes the Sakura/Yelan one.) Alternatively, you can make and post a cover for someone else's story.
