Back to work
I started back to work yesterday. Riley stayed with Timy's mom Sunday night, so I wasn't too agonized with having to leave him. I was proud of myself for only calling Timy three times to check on him. The day went rather quickly getting moved back into my office and catching up on things so one day away from him wasn't too bad.
Today was worse though...I had to say goodbye this morning and he was already awake when I left for work, which was even worse because he was being a super cute smiley baby. Everything was going well until I called home this afternoon and heard Riley wailing in the background. I think that was when it all finally sunk in. The rest of the afternoon drug on, and of course I was stuck in traffic on my way home this evening. I finally made it home and Riley was still being grumpy, it took him quite a while to finally calm down. Honestly I think he wore himself out crying and went to sleep in self defense.
The worst part is, I have to go back to work tomorrow, and the day after, and the week after...and so on....but at least Timy will be home with him the next few days. Then it's all back to work and playing baby chauffeur at 4:30 am.
