The local college is getting rid of some couches. They are allowed to THROW them away but not GIVE them away because it's STATE property. BUT the taxpayers fund the state, don't they? So shouldn't the taxpayers have a right to claim them before they are thrown away? Okay. I can see there are liability issues... but how about a waiver to sign? According to a friend of mine, Liability issues = our lawyers had a hissy fit.
