Wow. How long's it been, almost...well, almost a year since I've updated? Wow. That's a while, even for me. And the first one to bring up my Transformers fic on hiatus gets a dictionary thrown at them.
......
Right. Well, I still haven't figured out how to fix the damn screen...I mean, so the entry doesn't stretch larger than the screen width. Rrg. Cursed technologically-challenged-ness.
Hee hee, icon change. Vincent ~Heart~
Cannot. Wait. For. Dirge. Of. Cerberus.....And. AC.
Heh. Wow. I really am scatterbrained tonight. Hmm...nothing to say. But this entry seems to short. Let's see....words words words. Lalalalala. Making entry longer....
Um...oh, I know! I could go on for a bit about my recent obsession with Rurouni Kenshin and try to figure out why I have been bitten by the Hiko Seijuro fanbug.
........
........
Heh. Well, for anybody reading who hasn't run yet, brace yourself for fangirlism.
Yes, I have discovered bittorent. Or rather, a friend of mine was using bittorent and introduced me to it, and I've been DLing RuroKen episodes like mad. Starting with the Kyoto arc, as its where my first favorite character, Makimachi Misao first appears (For the longest time, I was pronoucing her surname "Makimichi" o.O;;)
For some reason, my most favorite characters from any given series are rarely, if ever, the main characters. Such is the case here. I mean, I love Kenshin. It's hard not to^^ But somehow being the main character tends to disqualify one from my favorites list, regardless of how awesome or not I think he/she is. As for Misao...seriously, I love this girl. She reminds me of Yuffie from FFVII. And she cracks me up^^ Besides that, the fact that she's a female ninja appeals to me, and I just plain like her character. Yes, she is stubborn, annoying, and perhaps acts before she thinks. But she's a mature, good-natured, caring girl with a good heart. And the fact that she can kick some ass doesn't hurt either^^
"BIRD KICK OF RAGE!!!(Kecho Kick!)" ^________________________________^
Note that I said "first" favorite character. I have a second. Care to venture a guess?
...well, duh.
Yup. I have become quite fond of the 'manly-man' of RuroKen, Hiko Seijuro the 13th. Pretty much from the moment he was introduced in the manga. I've probably said this before, but I adore mentor-apprentice (occasionally big brother-little brother) relationships. Bordering on a fetish, really. Heck, it is a fetish. I mean, Yami and Yugi, Sai and Hikaru, Kakashi-sensei and Team 7, Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha...and now Kenshin and his Shishou. So I suppose it really wasn't any surprise when Hiko-sama fell into one of my favorite character spots. Not only is he easy on the eyes (and his hair looks like it'd be really fun to mess with if you could do it without getting your hand chopped off) but I love this guy's character^^;; As Kenshin says, he is indeed arrogant, crude, and "misanthropic" (I had to look that one up when it came up in the subtitles^^;; Apparently it means "Characterized by a hatred or mistrustful scorn for humankind". Which fits.) However, beneath the gruff exterior, Hiko-sama has a good heart, as you can see when he takes little Shinta under his wing. And as arrogant as Hiko comes across, I suppose from a certain POV, it's 'confidence', and he really has every right to it: he can definitely back it up! There's a reason I call him the "Manly-man" of RuroKen...the guy is RIPPED! ^^;;
Besides being a master swordsman, he's extremely observant and a good teacher (if a little rough^^;;). And let's face it, seeing him mercilessly torment Kenshin is highly amusing ^______________^
....Time to get off that subject before I go into a rant. It can be dangerous to get me talking on my favorite characters^^;;
Hmm. What to talk about now. Well, I was at Caitlin's the day before last...watched Tim play Metal Gear Solid 3 *snickers* The box...
Sigint: Uh, Snake... What are you doing?
Snake: I'm in a box.
Sigint: A cardboard box? Why are you...?
Snake: I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box.
Sigint: Destiny...?
Snake: Yeah. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can't put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I'd found the key to true happiness.
Sigint: ...
Snake: Does any of that make sense?
Sigint: Not even a little.
Snake: You should come inside the box... Then you'll know what I mean.
Sigint: Man, I don't wanna know what you mean!
^^;;;
Oh, and I saw Howl's Moving Castle. I can see why you love him, Caitlin...the guy's awesome. And adorable^^ LOVE the hair. And the eyes.
...Okay, off to read some fanfiction now. The FF 7-8-9 crossover by XD, Sore Kara. Yeah, I know, I should really finish reading Court of Souls, but I'm just not in the mood. Maybe I should go play Kingdom Hearts again.
Ja!
