Since a very close friend plans on making this herself in the near future, I thought I'd help out by keeping a very detailed picture log on the progress of this commission. base...base...base....i'm too brain dead to think of what you're referring to. the only link I can remember sending is the cardboard katana tutorial. is that what you're referring to? That's the basic idea for the blade part, yes, but I'm not going to be using actual cardboard. I'd be doing craft foam because I had such issues filling in all the stupid holes in the cardboard when trying to make one of those myself. And craft foam becomes super duper stiff when you paste some fabric onto it and I have tons of scrap organza upstairs from Princess Serenity version 1. And I can say that it's certainly going to a good cause. :) (I'm told gauze also works well, but in my head it doesn't look as smooth. ^^)

I'm going to make post #2 on this and then go to bed. I'm fading fast. ;__;

LOL, if I remember from all the Redwall I've read, the "white wings" is either called a guard or crosspiece (meaning it can be called by either name)!! ^_^
