I'm Stuck...
I'll be working in Hakodate for almost two weeks. This is cool. A change of pace, new students... but! I have to teach hella kids classes, special kids events and worst of all... there's no friggin internet at my temporary apartment!!!
Still, I have hopes that I can see the wonders that Hakodate has to offer. These included the Night View of Mt. Hakodate, Lucky Pierrot, some special Hakodate-only conbini, and various seafoods. Yay me... the ropeway up Mt. Hakodate closes too early for me, so I won't be able to see that.
I've already eaten at Lucky Pierrot... which is some weird take on old-fashioned American diners. They have a Chinese Chicken burger.... which is really weird because its like a cross between Panda Express and Denny's. I say Denny's because the buns and burgers are much bigger and of better quality than McDonalds. As for the conbini, I have no idea where to find it, much less what it's called... and you know me and seafood just don't mix.
I guess I won't be able to add photos to this journal til after I return to Sapporo, but thats okay because they really aren't adding up to much.
I still have my hopes pinned on seeing some of the very first cherry blossoms in Hokkaido this year. There are already buds on the trees, but they are still small and tight. Wish me luck! I really want to see something special here in Hakodate!!
