(no subject)
So I just got back from my family vacation. We went up north, to Houghton Lake, which I discovered is very close to Higgen's Lake, Laur. (I also heard that a former Miss St Clair Shores drown at Higgen's Lake...) Anyway, we went putter golfing, canoeing on the Asaboe River, rented a jet boat and tube and went tubing on Houghton Lake, shopped at Birch Run, and dropped into Frankenmuth. I think I got a mild tan, just mild enough that I don't glow in the dark any more, but not very noticable. I'm the only one of us not sunburnt!
With my birthday gone, and most my work out of the way, the rest of the summer should be peachy. I think that I'll be able to do a lot of stuff come August. Not to mention that we need to plan the Muffin Family Barbecue that we were fantasizing about in July.
I was scrapbooking today. *cringe* if anything sucks the cheer out of you, it's scrapbooking.
And since I was tubing yesterday all morning, I feel like a semi rolled over the upper half of my body. But overall, vacation was nice. I have to babysit tomorrow morning, so that's why this is so short. Summer has been good...there's some people I wish I could get in contact with, but otherwise the summer has just flown by without regrets thus far.
I hope that we (the muffins) have a big and wild adventure before school starts. But those just sort of happen, no planning. *shrugs*
