good: having a new boy in your head who likes to draw and looks like
billy lush, aka kevin donnelly. his name is derry (his full name, which he'll tell you if you ask, is dermot delaney belmont. delaney was his mom's maiden name) and he's nineteen and has been effectively homeless since his mom died when he was fifteen or sixteen, and he steals sharpies and pencils because he'll draw on any available surface that will hold still long enough. he never graduated from high school but managed to get a part-time job washing dishes in a cafe/coffeeshop. he doesn't really take drugs (he took speed a couple times but it freaked him out) but he occasionally drinks, and he occasionally does stupid things if he drinks too much. >.< he's a sweet, quiet, mostly zen boy, he gets protective of his female friends and strange drunk girls at parties, and he likes to watch people because people fascinate him. he never learned how to drive. he likes boys - well, he IS mine :D - but he lost his virginity to a girl, his friend sil, when they were in high school. he doesn't have a boyfriend, altho he has a friend with benefits, a guy named will. will occasionally gets paranoid and jealous, but never violent. derry on the other hand doesn't have a jealous bone in his body.
so. yeah. derry.
(unrelatedly, the kitchen in
this photo looks like actual kitchens i've been in. man, this show SO should've been set in boston.)
bad: not having an actual story for him. *sigh* scenelets, sure. a little backstory, sure. a plotline? like with a beginning, a middle, and an end? not so much.
