(no subject)
i want it to be september already so i can move shit around in my apartment and put up some pictures. also i need to call the landlady and tell her i'm staying by myself and if she sends a lease over i'll sign it. also i have to call the plumber, because the water bill went way up and the landlady seems to think there's a running toilet in the building or something. i'm pretty sure it's not ours, but who knows. it doesn't SOUND like it's running....
i have fictional weddings on the brain and i don't get it. i keep trying to write little jay's wedding except i have no idea what she's wearing. i got the groom (blues brothers suit, white tee, bow tie with little skulls printed on it), the best man (orange zoot suit), and the maid of honor (secondhand seafoam-green 50s prom dress). but the bride? all i know is her hair is pink and her gramma is APPALLED, but not surprised. also daniel's sister amy gets married in wisconsin in the middle of march and wants him to be her best man. he's beyond baffled - that doesn't even make SENSE. neil and nash both wear kilts, which thrills amy to little bits. she's all ^_^ . the wedding party and guests may or may not include a civil war reenactor (in period uniform), the occasional scadian, and an assortment of fashionably adventuous and/or clueless geeky friends. (there's a girl in an elizabethan bodice and skirt, and her boyfriend/husband/companion is wearing sort of late 18th century leggings and coat. amy and cal know some... theatrical people.) it's an interesting-looking wedding.
and then neil's friend brian gets married in boston the same weekend as pride, but that particular story is more about the ot4 and wee francis black at pride than it is about the actual wedding, because neil's the only one who's invited.
and then i vaguely want to write megan's oldest niece katie getting married, for which nash does not mack on the bridesmaids because they are all WAY too young, but he does have an, um, interesting conversation with the groom's aunt, who is divorced from the groom's uncle. megan doesn't know whether to be appalled or pleased that he finally went after an older woman.
but have i written any of these? no, i have not. *sigh* and i was going to at least attempt to write some nice gun porn with all my slacker time today, but my gun-cleaning notes are at home.
