in unrelated news, according to weather.com it's going to be in the 50s and partly cloudy/cloudy/rainy just about the entire time i'm in belfast. somehow this does not surprise me. (the first person who points out that i'm going to northern ireland in the spring and of course it's going to rain is going to feel the palm of my hand connecting with the back of their skull. a day or two of clouds-and/or-rain, i was expecting that. the only sunny day being the day i leave? i don't think so.)
on the other hand, i have a slice of banana chocolate chip coffee cake from starbucks, so at least my lunchtime snack is thumbs-up.
