Even people you like can annoy the hell out of you after a while - so much yes. It was funny at theParis convention someone mentioned to Jensen about Creation's plans for a SPN cruise and he was SO not into it, he was delighted when everyone in the room said it was a terrible idea. I get the feeling he will not be booking up for that one if he can find a out in his contract LOL.
Re: Egypt - if you do get a chance to go, don't do it by cruising, it's SO frustrating. Apart from the whole stuck on the boat with people, the sightseeing excursions all revolve around the boat too - mostly for food reasons. So you dock somewhere, go through all the moored boats to get to shore, get taken to whichever site it is you're visiting that day and then are told you have a set time before you have to be back on the damn boat for dinner/lunch/supper. Plus boats are relatively slow, so you do spend 70% of your time travelling between places rather than actually seeing stuff.
I found Egypt itself disappointing. I'd wanted to go since I was a kid, and thought I was prepared for the dirt, noise, constant hassle from people trying to sell you things but we did the week in Jordan first and I think that spoiled me. Jordan was so welcoming and the people were all genuinely pleased to see us and talk to us, and practice their English. Plus wow - Petra is FANTASTIC. We had two full days visiting and I could have spent another 2-3 days just wandering round the site. It's huge and fascinating, and so colourful. We salo went to Jerash which is amazing. I'd go back to Jordan for sure - Egypt, not so much.
