I didn't mind the ending of Killing Eve, to be honest. I agree that it did feel rushed - the whole season felt like it was trying to do too much with the time it had - but it didn't really annoy me like it seemed to annoy many other fans ( ... )

that's actually a good point about eve's "killing" (and another good reason for why the ptb might have introduced pam). i admit i did always wonder what the point of the show's title was, since eve was only almost killed the one time, and not even until the end of s2. but i can see the series ending as the inevitable result of the string of choices she made, and that giving in to villanelle and letting herself be absorbed into villanelle's world only ends in loneliness and death. i can buy her character progression across the seasons, mostly, it was just this season the ptb seemed to be trying to turn villanelle into someone she couldn't really be, but the point wasn't to show us that she wanted the impossible. the point was to give her and eve a real romance. which... no. not after three seasons of weird, toxic, obsessive, unhealthy... whatever it was. i know nothing about the fandom but if the goal was to give eve/villanelle shippers something to squee over, i'm super disappointed ( ... )

Feel better soon! simondonoghue April 24 2022, 14:52:42 UTC
So sorry. In the end I have the awful feeling that we’re all gonna get it; hope the symptoms aren’t kicking you too hard. And yuh, Netflix for the win!

thank you, and fortunately it's just like a head cold. i'm at the coughing stage now. :| and seriously, netflix is the best. it's like the beginning of the pandemic all over again, when there wasn't any new tv and your only option was watching movies or reruns of stuff.

Catching up with everything after a few days painting and ugh, sorry you ended up with covid, but it sounds like it hasn't hit too hard, so yay for vaccinations. The sore throat seems to be an Omega symptom, from what I've heard. My mum (87! eek!) got it a few weeks ago and the sore throat was the worst thing about it. It made her existing asthma cough a lot worse than usual, but probably no worse than it used to be before she got it under control, so she was able to cope with that ok. All in all, bad but not mega horrible and great relief all round.

it's possible i lucked out, because it hit my sister harder and my cousin was just flattened, but man, vaccines are THE BEST. i was never worried i'd have to go to the hospital.

...my brain did NOT go to a covid-y medical place with "the sore throat seems to be an omega symptom". what has fandom done to me.

your poor mum! i'm glad she came through it ok, but yikes! my mom is luckily uninfected, fingers crossed.
