i'm only two eps into hawkeye so it's just barely started going somewhere. good to know it's going somewhere interesting! i think in this case it might be better if you haven't read the comics because you have less to compare it to. (the fraction/aja clint lives in brooklyn in an apartment building that he owns, and he doesn't have kids and isn't married, and he gets pizza dog by rescuing him from the tracksuit mafia. and he's much more depressed than mcu clint. and he's congenitally deaf, or at least severely hard of hearing, rather than having had his hearing wrecked thanks to getting knocked around as an avenger. and kate knows what she's doing and gives him shit for, uh, not having his shit together.) i am liking the show and i do want to know what happens, altho i was briefly kicked out of the story when college-student kate, who is apparently going to college outside nyc, has somehow already inherited a vaguely industrial looking apartment over a pizza parlor, and is living there, what, half the year? whenever she's not in school? that was a little nonsensical to me. but i appreciate that they kept the dog. :D and i like that they wrote clint's hearing aid into the show, because it's part of him in at least some of the comics, and it's nice to see some rep for disabled avengers. also, the captain america musical was, well, i bet it was an experience.
i also like jodie whitaker a lot - thirteen is SO CUTE - which is why i want to catch up on the new season. sounds like i shouldn't expect much, tho. i love that your attitude towards it is "i watch because i've always watched". there are worse reasons!
