my sister and i saw captain marvel tonight. she thought it was choppy, i thought it took a while to get where it was going. i think i liked it more than she did. the music was great, both the very 90s songs and the more composed-by-a-composer music. it was definitely entertaining and because i knew nothing about carol danvers/captain marvel i had a. no preconceived ideas about the character(s) or storyline, and b. no opinion on any deviations (or lack thereof) from the comics. but i have a
continuity question, namely how and when did lawson/mar-vell get the tesseract and take it to her orbiting lab? timeline-wise, the last time it made an appearance was when howard stark fished it out of arctic waters, right? after it went down with ww2-era steve rogers. the next time it makes an appearance is when loki steals it from shield, but we know how it gets to shield after carol and fury and co find it in the lab. (in a puddle of cat slobber, apparently.) but how did mar-vell get it?
getting to see the younger nick fury was fun. and the cat is super cute.
there were A LOT of previews, altho i only want to see one of the movies, something with mindy kaling and emma thompson.
i finished my 21-day online yoga series which hopefully means i won't wake up sore any more. >.< it was mostly fun and mostly hard and i think i'd like to keep doing it, just with more beginner classes.
man allegedly steals snack truck, eats nothing. that's a real headline. and a real crime. the world is a weird place.
