yesterday my curling club had their open house. 768 people registered to show, which is a lot of people to get through the place in four hours. i volunteered to be on the ice, to help with the quickie curling instruction and supervise while people got to throw rocks and sweep. there were some spectacular falls, but no one was hurt and everyone

aren't the penguins great? a million and a half of them hiding out on an island, and no one knew they were there. surprise!

this is us is also on nbc, so i've seen the timeless preview a bunch of times. it's just the one episode so far.

I have now watched the Timeless ep. I think the guy being 'eh, whatever' about Rufus and Wyatt being together was Rittenhouse so purposely didn't make much of it because he wanted them to come with him so he could kill/interrogate them? But, yeah, Lucy's hair was wrong. And I was sort of annoyed with the dropped Marie Curie thing (I mean, they never returned to talk to them? Explain something, tell them about radiation maybe?) I really like Timeless, but at the same time I always kind of find myself cringing how they sort of try to explain away some of the time issues but it just winds up making the things they don't address stand out that much more

no, because that would be ~changing history~. (never mind how much history they've fucked with so far....) there's a lot of timeline handwaving, isn't there? it's frustrating and sometimes realllly glaring.
