fucking mondays
oh my flist, today was a monday. it culminated in a very loud, very shrieky, and not very happy small child on the bus home. to be fair, the kid's mom spent most of the trip gamely trying to calm the kid down - when the bus left the station, after the kid had made their displeasure known at length and at top volume, mom said "we're moving! yay!" - altho at one point she kind of snapped "be quiet", and the kid actually shut up. O.O and then went back to shrieking.
and then i wasn't getting nbc/channel 10 again (i got a new cable box on saturday, which fixed the problem for a whopping two days), so of course i called comcast to schedule a tech, so of course now i get the channel. so i watched timeless and wyatt was an idiot. and if i lose the channel in a couple days, at least someone's coming on saturday to look at it.
some judges and federal courts are blocking parts of the cheeto's muslim ban, trying to prevent people from getting deported. so that's something.
the googledoodle today was in honor of fred korematsu, a japanese-american activist who brought a case against the us over the constitutionality of the internment camps. it went to the supreme court and he lost. (well, it was 1944 and he was of japanese descent. of course he lost.) you gotta wonder if that's a little bit of pointed political commentary from google.
and the boy scouts will now accept trans boys. welcome to the 21st century, boy scouts of america. it took you long enough.
