i'm watching the daily show and trevor noah is having a lot of fun with size euphemisms and the crowd for trump's inauguration. possibly the only good thing to come out of the inauguration. (i missed it entirely. i had other shit to do on friday. like, you know, travel.)
this morning the weather channel and the weather widget on my laptop both said it would be 43º and rainy. so of course when i left the house to get the bus, it was snowing. >.< my first thought: "i am wearing the wrong shoes". followed by "i am wearing the wrong coat". and "do i have time to go change?" and then "no". at least i had an umbrella.
and work was not terrible! considering i haven't been there for over a week. i didn't even have a lot to catch up on. but i did have enough to do.
last night my curling team WON. BY A LOT. O.O it was very exciting. and saturday night i did what's called the glospiel, when they turn off all the lights and run strings of glowsticks down the ice so you can see what sheet you're supposed to be on. everyone taped a glowstick to their broom and all the stones had a glowstick taped to them too, so you could see them, and we curled in the dark. and i did not totally suck altho i also did not totally have any kind of depth perception. it was fun, tho. we even got pizza.
chris evans is doing a
fundraiser for christopher's haven, which provides apartments and other support for the families of kids undergoing cancer treatments. you can win a chance to try and escape from an escape room with captain america. :D he randomly showed up
at a comic shop near me pranking unsuspecting shoppers and running a mini escape room. he's such a dork. (the former mayor of somerville, michael capuano, is his uncle. which i guess is why he did it in somerville and not somewhere else? i don't know how he picked the comic shop that he did.)
pics of marches from saturday. there were even protestors in antarctica. one of the women in my curling league told me last night that there were so many people in chicago they couldn't even march.
