it smells like burnt baloney and regrets down here
i finally saw ghostbusters tonight, and i liked it! it was funny, which i expected, and occasionally scary, which i didn't. and i enjoyed the easter eggs. the only thing is that since some of it was shot in boston, i kept trying to figure out where they were. there was one scene that looked like it could have been filmed around the corner from my office, except that it was dressed up as new york.
also, god bless the hotter hemsworth for his willingness to play someone who is dumb as a box of rocks and the butt of the joke. (and what a nice butt it is. :D )
the display cabinet i ordered from ikea was supposed to come today, except when it didn't come and didn't come and didn't come, i looked at the email again and realized that i'd picked MONDAY as the delivery date. >.< when, you know, i'll be at work. so i had to call them and change it, and now the thing will be delivered next weekend. yeesh, self.
a great thing about killjoys: dutch's flat-heeled boots. the only time she wears heels is if she's undercover, and the rest of the time... flat boots. i love it. i liked last night's episode, mostly for the continual advancement of the story and the new (and really neat) worldbuilding. also d'avin's face after the level six's head exploded on him was priceless. one minute the guy's eyes are in his head, the next they're in his mouth. and they taste like chicken. heh. and ew. the very end, with a drugged-up pawter and johnny drifting through old town, felt like a demented romcom, and i'm curious how they get out of it.
