anyone tell you you're paranoid?
today my sister and i saw cacw (me for the second time, her for the first) and she liked it and didn't think there was too much tony. (i still think there's too much tony.) in bucharest, when the german tach team or whoever they are is busting into bucky's sad little apartment (his bed is a sleeping bag on a mattress on the floor!), he grabs steve's shield and pulls it in front of both of them to deflect the bullets, then throws steve into one of the tach guys, knocking them both outside onto the balcony. steve as weapon. :D bucky grabbing the motorcycle and flinging it around was just as hot the second time. also, sebstan's angryface, my god. that should not be as hot as it is.
i couldn't tell if there was a difference in the way he tried to fight his way out of the apartment building vs the way he tried to fight his way out of the building in berlin after zemo used the trigger phrase. like, is there a difference in the way bucky fights vs the way the winter soldier fights. because he wasn't exactly going easy on the tach team in romania.
oh, when he comes out of it in berlin, when sam and steve have him caught in that warehouse ("your mother's name was sarah. you used to wear newspapers in your shoes."), he doesn't seem to remember fighting anyone - he asks what he did - but he knows zemo was asking about december 1991. but both those things happened after the trigger phrase, after he was winter soldier-ed.
when tony brings steve the historical fountain pens to try and convince him to sign the accords, it looks a lot like tony's promises for bucky - taking him to the us, putting him in a psychiatric facility instead of prison - are what get steve to actually consider it. like, "sign the accords and we'll take care of your friend". and then tony has to blow it by mentioning wanda is confined to the compound....
also, when steve&sam&bucky meet up with clint&wanda&scott, and steve says to suit up, and suddenly bucky's wearing all black and looking more winter soldier-like, where the hell did his change of clothes come from? sharon brought steve and sam their gear, but it's not like anyone went back to romania to get bucky more clothes, and i kinda doubt he was carrying it around in his backpack.
oh, my sister also agreed that spider-man really didn't need to be there.
we saw previews for suicide squad (i could be convinced), rogue one (definitely in), and doctor strange (eh, altho the inception-like folding city is cool). after that we went over to mom&dad's for dinner, but very little stuff sorting. we'll sort tomorrow.
i got some preliminary bigbang art from my lovely artist, and i made the most ridiculous ^_^ face. i was super pleased.
it's not just finnish babies that get baby boxes - a bunch of us cities are trying it too.
