last night i made an apple cake for passover and it made my whole house smell like cinnamon. i was sorely tempted to cut a piece to try it - i've never made it before and wanted to make sure it was fit to serve to people - but i refrained mostly because i'd be really embarrassed to take a cake with a tiny piece cut out of it to my parents' house tomorrow. but it smelled SO GOOD.
today we had busy season happy hour in the cafe at work - audit's busy season goes until the end of april, but tax is done - i was hoping for a baked brie but no luck. we had marinated veg and bacon-wrapped scallops and grilled shrimp and soft tacos instead. so i'm not complaining. :D
it was also super slow and i spent a lot of the day refreshing twitter and reading people's prince tributes. they were really lovely. also i was reminded that he was part of a
pretty filthy joke on animaniacs, and you have to wonder how the censors let that pass.
his thing wasn't always my thing, but god damn, was he a talented individual.
on the other, happier, hand, harriet tubman is going to be on the $20, and that's really cool.
watched the 100, have a
comment. dammit, sinclair. :( also oh shit, the new heda's chipped. that can't end any way other than badly.
watched the vikings season finale, have a
question. is lagertha dead? because that sucks out loud, if so.
boring buildings are bad for you, psychologically at least. boredom is stressful and visual variety is healthier.
