so you know how a militia with legitimate grievances bunch of cranky white guys with guns occupied a federal wildlife sanctuary in oregon? and they posted a list of stuff they need online? concerned citizens of this great country sent them... gummy dicks. and dildos. perhaps unsurprisingly, these guys are pissed off and a tad ungrateful. i guess their mamas never told them not to look a gift dildo in the mouth.
there's a train station in japan where the train stops twice a day for a single passenger - a high school student. it stops in the morning to pick her up for school, and in the afternoon to drop her off.
the new york public library released 180k documents to the public domain. holy carp. that's a lot of historical ephemera.

an artist built a floating forest in a warehouse in new york. it's not a permanent exhibit, so if you want to see a suspended forest and you'll be in new york before the end of the month, check it out.
a photographer unintentionally caught a plane going through a rainbow and getting zapped by lightning. yowza! the plane was fine and landed without incident.
