bah
i was half an hour late to work this morning, because a. i waited twenty minutes for a bus, and then b. we hit traffic, because c. the city of somerville in its infinite wisdom decided morning rush hour was an excellent time to dig up a major street. my day did not get appreciably better. i mean, i didn't even eat lunch until four, and i spent my lunch half-hour waiting in line at the post office to send off a stack of certified mail, rather than walking around in the nice sunshine. but hey, at least i'm still employed. :|

a storm blew through a town in ireland and knocked over a massive tree, and stuck in the tree roots was a skeleton. the bones apparently belong to a young man who died a violent death somewhere between eight hundred and a thousand years ago. creepy and also really cool.
