today i met my sister for brunch and then we went over to our parents' house because my dad has started going through his books and he wanted to know if my sister or i wanted any. we did. i acquired a book about pirates. :D and a random assortment of history books and, uh, a book about cars (cord and auburn). and east of eden. they're in a stack by my front door until i can figure out where to put them.
after the book-sorting my mom went to my cousin's kid's baseball game and my dad and my sister and i went grocery shopping, where i discovered
avengers on cereal:
i have a kraving.
patriotic corn flakes. :D
i think cap should be on the wheaties box, personally.
and speaking of cap, last night i watched playing it cool, in which chris evans plays kind of a self-absorbed asshole and michelle monaghan is the girl he falls in love with (and who is already seeing someone, because of course). topher grace plays chris' friend and he is ADORABLE. anthony mackie plays chris' agent - because he's a screenwriter tasked with writing a romcom - and he looks super hot in a suit. it's kind of cute, if super predictable, mostly because chris is the cutest and he and michelle monaghan have some nice chemistry. but he plays an ass.
so if you saw mad max: fury road and are feeling the need for a flamethrower guitar, you can probably alter
these instructions for a flamethrower ukulele. (a ukulele! hee.)
an oklahoma high school is replacing some of its blackboards with whiteboards, and when they took the blackboards down, they discovered
hundred-year-old blackboards underneath, complete with multiplication tables and drawings and lessons about the pilgrims.
