hannibal comes back tonight and i have finally seen the s2 finale in preparation. (and holy crap was that a bloody episode.) i've had dinner - spaghetti and edamame and just enough pepper - and no the butter was not people - and am more or less emotionally prepared, by which i mean i expect to be squicked right the hell out. *girds loins*
i'm watching jaws until it comes on. they need a bigger boat. :D
i got a lego catalogue in the mail today, probably because i bought the lady scientists set last year, and what does it say about me that i'm considering getting the quinjet city chase set because if you spend more than $75 you get a not-sold-in-stores winter soldier minifig? (i know what it says about me, actually. and one of the things it says is that i can't afford the fabulous hot toys collectible figures, so i have to scratch my fannish itch for stuff some other way.) (it also says i like legos.) (and possibly that i'm annoyed i don't know what happened to my darth maul minifig.)
anyway. i'd ask for an opinion on spending $79 mostly because i want a particular minifig, but i have a feeling someone would tell me to do it.
did you know there were jewish pirates? i didn't! apparently they turned to piracy for the same reason a lot of non-jews did - adventure and money. also they'd been kicked out of spain and portugal, and the colonies on the far side of the atlantic looked really tempting.
room on the roof - an art/performance/etc studio built inside a tower in amsterdam. i just think it's a really cool little space.
